ABOUT THE MURAL PROJECT

The 2012 Mural Project is a collaboration between Youth Art + Media Works, Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Art and Community Students, and Emerson SILC 4th and 5th graders.

Together, these students are visualizing a solution to bullying, and creating a large Mural on the Savitt Paint building at the corner of 15th and Nicolett Ave., in downtown Minneapolis.

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

Specifically, we want to provide a positive solution to bullying from the kids point of view. In the big picture, we want kids to see themselves as a vital part of the solution, and as powerful in creating change.
